"Lesson #1 in the fight against crime: Never lose your head!"
— Tagline, from the front cover

The Viking's Revenge is the 124th book in the The Hardy Boys Casefiles series.

Plot summary

The Hardys are visiting their pal Chet Morton, who's taken a job as a Viking -- in a historically authentic village on the Minnesota shores of Lake Superior. The Idea is to re-create the bold spirit of the legendary explorers. But someone's out to put on display a more sinister part of the Viking past: the burning, the looting, the terror.

The action in Viking Village begins with a few small acts of sabotage, which soon escalate into a full-blown assault. Frank and Joe are ready to meet the challenge -- even if it means confronting the cold, hard steel of battle-ax and war hammer. And like true Viking warriors, they know that this fight could be a fight to the death!
