Dr. Helmunt von Heissen is a former German plastic surgeon. As a young doctor at a Nazi camp, he made great advances in skin grafting.[2] Sometime after the War, Heissen was discovered by the Lazarus Clinic, and worked with them in a plan to take control of a top US government security agency, The Network.[3] He created perfect physical doubles of Frank Hardy, Joe Hardy,[1] Iola Morton,[4] and Network top-dog, The Gray Man.[5]
Heissen along with the rest of the Lazarus team, was captured by The Network, when trying to feel their base in the Maine woods, after Frank and Joe Hardy uncovered their plot.[6] After his capture he was ordered to restore the looks of Sally Collins, the girl used to make Iola Morton II.[7]
