Gertrude Hardy (often called Aunt Gertrude) is the unmarried, older sister of Fenton Hardy, who's family she lives with in the town of Bayport.
Personality and traits
Known to be out-spoken and peppery individual, Gertrude might seem harsh to strangers, those that know her, however, know that her bark is worse then her bite, and under her hard exterior is a great depth of affection.[1]
Skills and ablities
Gertrude is a skilled cook, and does most of Hardy's cooking and baking. Chet Morton, a close friend of Fenton's sons, is especially a fan of Gertrude's cooking. She iis especially well known for constantly being slightly paranoid about danger and always making dire preddictions about her brother and nephew's investigative escapades.
After holidaying in South America, Gertrude briefly took up limbo dancing.[2]
Physical description
Gertrude is a tall, slim woman[3] with black hair.
