Frank Hardy is the older of the two Hardy boys. He and his brother Joe are both following in the footsteps of their father, as detectives. Frank's leadership and commonsense, and Joe's physical abilities mesh perfectly and together they have put countless criminals behind bars.

Frank lives with his family in the city of Bayport, on the east coast of the United States.

In the over 80 years since the character's conception, Frank has appeared in close to 500 novels, made over 30 Television appearances, and has been featured in a number of video games, and as a result there is a few different versions of the character.
