Ethel Radley is the wife of Sam Radley and a good friend of the Hardy family.^[1]

She and her husband used to live on the second floor of an apartment house in the center of Bayport,^[2] but they have since moved to apartment E on the 17th floor.^[3]

Ethel has soft gray eyes.^[4]
