Anchor is a name from The Great Airport Mystery as well as the 10th in the series What Happened at Midnight. Anchor from The Great Airport Mystery is an accomplice in a smuggling ring that the Hardy boys realize is aptly named due to all the nautical equipment he surrounds himself with in his home when they investigate looking for a stolen camera, as well as the mystery surrounding missing cargo and crew. In What Happened at Midnight, the Hardy Boys are told that Anchor Pete got his name due to a penchant for throwing anchors at people to knock them out. Frank Hardy is almost the victim of this assault but fast thinking by his brother and resilent friends helps him escape at the last. In the 10th book, Anchor is finally captured and charged.
